Yasmin is CEO at Impatience Earth, where she educates philanthropic donors about climate change, particularly the importance of viewing the climate crisis through a justice lens. As a Brit with joint Bangladeshi and Filipino heritage, she developed an acute awareness of the climate crisis from a young age. She has lived in Mexico, Bangladesh, Singapore and Thailand, spending almost a decade working in the latter. She has worked in solidarity with indigenous and Burmese migrants and refugees on the Thailand-Myanmar border, and grassroots movements across Asia fighting for land rights, trade justice, climate justice and food sovereignty through Focus on the Global South, an activist think-tank headquartered in Bangkok.
