Thimali is series producer and co-host of the groundbreaking podcast, Mothers Of Invention, highlighting feminist solutions to the climate crisis around the world. Using humour and creative storytelling, she co-hosts the show alongside former Irish president and chair of The Elders, Mary Robinson and comedian, Maeve Higgins. Thimali has spoken on climate justice and climate media across the US & Europe, including COP26 in Glasgow. In her commitment to ensuring climate narratives in mainstream media, Thimali has advised albert [BAFTA], All3Media, Good Energy Project, and was twice invited to judge the Edinburgh TV Awards “Climate Impact Award” having helped develop its criteria. Additionally, Thimali judged the Willy Brandt Documentary Film Award for Freedom & Human Rights at the Berlin Human Rights Film Festival, as well as EarthXFilm Festival where she presented Oscar-winning documentary, My Octopus Teacher, its first major prize. Thimali has been recognised by The New York Times, Columbia Journalism Review and the BBC for her innovations in climate storytelling.
