Puninda is Finance Nature Lead with the UN Climate Champions Team where she is focused on catalyzing and mobilizing finance sector action to address biodiversity loss and nature-related risks and opportunities. Puninda is deeply committed to building a sustainable, prosperous, equitable future. She previously worked at the intersection of sustainable investing and climate resilience for 9+ years, where she helped organizations across various sectors operationalize credible sustainability strategies. Puninda holds an MSc in Sustainability, Enterprise, and Environment from the University of Oxford. She has participated in several UN conferences of Parties including COP27 advancing meaningful youth and civil society engagement in policy processes. Puninda is a member of the board of directors for Threading Change, an international youth-led ethical fashion organization, and Leading Change, which supports the development of young sustainability leaders. She is also active in climate advocacy as a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
