Naomi Alexander Naidoo is a community builder for systems change. She specialises in building networks, communities and communication strategies on social and environmental issues, including gender equality, climate justice, anti-racism and ethical finance, and particularly focuses on the intersection of technology and social justice. Most recently, she led movement building and partnerships at Chayn, a non-profit supporting survivors of abuse across borders. Naomi has an academic background in philosophy, with a focus on the ethics of climate change. She is a trustee of Kinning Park Complex, and an advisor to the Make My Money Matter pension campaign and Money Movers, a peer-learning project supporting women to take climate action with their personal finances.
“The financial systems change we need for climate justice will involve radically reshaping and reconfiguring power in finance, developing new climate-positive financial products and services, democratising investment, and supporting marginalised communities to be leaders in the financial system of the future.”
