Libaharan Ravindran
Libaharan Ravindran is a spoken word poet, community organiser and social justice activist from Sri Lankan Tamil heritage, born in Norway and presently living at Hempen near Reading. Liba has been using his poetry for grassroots change as a community activist and involved in the local poetry/spoken word scene in London through readings at various venues. He founded the Anti-Oppression Circle in 2020 which is an intersectional justice network led by BIPOC in the UK and also co-founded Firebrand Poets in 2023 with other local poets from North London who look to platform marginalised artists. Liba became involved due to a strong spiritual connection to nature, a love of humanity and a determined belief in transforming society through system change. Sowing seeds of inspiration, connecting wholly with others and acting purposely through compassionate action have led him to be a change-maker in liberatory spaces.
"Liberation is real for those who live it."
