Kennedy is a campaigner and trainer who first came into activism through grassroots organising in London. They worked on a breadth of issues including trade justice, community land ownership, migration and climate. In 2020, they started coaching younger campaigners and co-founded black activist and organiser network, KIN. Currently, Kennedy offer trainings and workshops in movement building , facilitation, framing and messaging and campaign strategy.
“To rise to the challenge of climate breakdown, we need to transform the values that underpin our current economy and society. We need to move away from extraction and move towards restoration, from competition to cooperation, from the hoarding of wealth and power to its redistribution. Only then can we start moving towards communities, cities, countries where people don’t just survive, but people and planet can prosper. Every day I meet folks who are fighting for this and that brings me incredible amounts of hope and determination.”
