Jini is the author of the critically-acclaimed ‘Wanderland’, shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize for UK Nature Writing and the Stanford Dolman Award for Travel Book of the Year. She has contributed to anthologies, including the landmark Woman on Nature, written an award-winning guidebook, ‘Wild Times’, and her texts have been been displayed at exhibitions in London, notably Kew Gardens and the Southbank Centre. As a journalist and travel writer she has written extensively for national press and 2019 was named a National Geographic Woman of Impact. In her work, she now occupies a cross-genre space where place, spirituality, nature and culture meet. Jini was born in the UK to parents of Indian descent from South Africa and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She now lives in London.
