Jessica is a UK Student Climate Network (UKSCN) activist. She helps plan UKSCN’s strikes and supports the international coordination and communications teams as well as raising awareness in making a case for a Green New Deal. She has recently started to help plan workshops on the links between race and the climate movement. Jessica’s Nigerian heritage drives her desire and interest to educate people on how Climate change impacts People of Colour in the UK and in the Global South.
“We need to give people of colour a platform to contribute in the climate conversation. Our stories exist and are constantly overlooked. These are the perspectives we need to pay attention to.”
