Jennifer Estaris (she/her) is a game director and climate action activist. At ustwo games, a B Corp, she directed Monument Valley 2's The Lost Forest, which petitions for forest conservation, and is game directing the next Monument Valley. Previously, Jennifer was at SYBO on Subway Surfers, the hit game with over 3 billion downloads, working on environmental initiatives. She has over 20 years experience in games, at Nickelodeon, Disney, and indie studios.
Jennifer speaks regularly about social impact in games, focusing on climate action, at conferences including GDC, SXSW, Games for Change, Game Devs of Color, and the Women in Games Conference. She’s part of The Game Awards Future Class ‘23.
Raised just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, she received her BA in English literature and BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and her MFA in creative writing from Columbia University. A Filipina-American immigrant, Jennifer is an active member of the UN’s Playing for the Planet (Advisory Council), the IGDA Climate SIG, and Extinction Rebellion, advocates for cyclists, and is a mom to a spirited 10 year old.
