Jasmine is a broadcast journalist and presenter on BBC1 Extra. Previously, she co-hosted Ujima Radio’s Black & Green Futures, a show focusing on community action on environmental issues in Bristol and beyond. Jasmine is also a part of a National Lottery-funded initiative: Addressing marginalised communities inclusion in ‘green issues’ by asking hard questions, researching and taking action.
“We need to start looking at issues such as climate change as a positive opportunity. An opportunity to address inequalities, so that we can build a better future together, not for just a few... That and also people of colour were already doing things considered ‘green’. I’m just not sure people bothered to ask. We’re out here too doing our bit too you know, so we should be talking at the environmental table as well.”
