Janine is a black feminist Agitator, Academica Lecturer at Central Saint Martins and University of the Arts London. Her PhD explores, ‘if art museums can be ‘safe(r) spaces’ to discuss race and cultural difference within a teaching and learning context,’ at Tate and the University of Bedfordshire.
“The climate injustice movement has a race problem, and we need to acknowledge how the global majority affected by this issue are all non-white people. We need climate justice and not change. We need a movement that is intersectional and acknowledges that we are in this problem because of 500 years of white western colonialism and capitalism. We need redistributions of resources to communities and activists most affected and fighting on the front lines.”
