Dave is responsible for creating the momentum on the ground that brings Repowering’s community-owned projects to life. He works with schools and communities across London, developing solar projects that reduce their carbon footprint while creating an income stream for local projects. An experienced community activist, Dave has cooked for over 100 people at a fracking site in Lancashire, taken part in climate demonstrations at COP21 in Paris and helped build an adventure playground in Senegal. He has a background in education, music and performance.
“We can create positive social change at the same time as fighting climate change, as long as we ensure we make space to hear those voices who aren’t usually heard. The best way to do this is to work with communities to create change, instead of forcing change onto them. People often know the solutions to the problems that surround them, they need resources and support to bring those solutions to life.”
