“Non-discriminatory and unbiased in its impact, climate change challenge calls for a diverse and inclusive workforce and a complete overhaul in the way we think, plan and act. The time has come to break down silos. Engineers need to work with artists, politicians, activists, and all sections of society, not only to respond to the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions but also prepare to adapt to the changing climate. It’s time to put ‘green’ before ‘grey’ infrastructure and use technology for good so that we leave assets and not liabilities for our future generations. Climate crisis presents us with a huge opportunity to redesign our cities and countryside keeping the health, happiness and wellbeing of everyone at the core.”
