As Associate Director of Rocks (2019), a collaborative film about the joy of sisterhood, Anu worked alongside director Sarah Gavron, co-writers Theresa Ikoko and Claire Wilson, and the cast and creative team. She is also the co-director of We Are Bridge, an organisation set up to ensure the legacy of new and emerging talent within the Film & TV industry.
“There are hundreds of untold stories of black and brown environmentalists, from the UK and beyond. These are the activists and organisers whose work has laid the foundations for a climate movement with justice at its heart. I hope that Skin Deep is able to keep sharing the histories of those climate justice giants on whose shoulders we stand, as well as platform the voices of those activists leading the fight in 2020. We want Skin Deep to help flood the movement with young POC, inspired by stories of campaigns fought and won, armed with proud histories, who know this is their fight too.”
