Amber is a climate justice advocate with the drive to design learning journeys towards social change.
Based in Bristol but working across the UK and with European organisations, Amber helps enable people to create positive change through their work as a coordinator, facilitator, and consultant of social action activities.
They feel passionately about the advocacy and empowerment of marginalised communities— working across a number of roles in the social impact sector, with a focus on climate justice, community-led action, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Affiliated organisations include Koreo (https://www.koreo.co/), Union of Justice (https://www.unionofjustice.com/), The Natural History Museum (https://www.nhm.ac.uk/), The DO (https://thedo.world/), The Visionaries (https://thevisionaries.org.uk/) and more.
In particular, Amber works to facilitate people-centred approaches to organisational Climate Action Plan (CAP) development. They are also keen to spark the curiosities and agencies of young people, leading youth-centred workshops on environmental justice.
How might we collectively learn, imagine, and build towards a just transition that disrupts carbon-centric approaches to climate action, and empowers marginalised communities as agents of life-centred systems change?
