Joyce Materego-Woodall is the Director of Finance and Operations for Global Greengrants Fund UK (GGF UK) - an international funder within environmental and social justice space. Her work exists at the intersection of human capital, mindset and finance.

Joyce has worked in the charity sector since 2009, moving from the book publishing industry. She has worked for a number of charities in the sector, all working to alleviate social issues and aiming to bring social justice. Joyce worked for several charities, including Charity Digital, Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), SignHealth (a Deaf-led health charity), Black Equity Organisation (BEO), and now GGF UK.

Her work is guided by the principle that international philanthropy is only a catalyst and an enabler for change, and the problems and solutions (both substantial and long-term) exist within the global majority peoples.

Cash is the man-made construct which we all call money. But real money exists in the form of relationships, wisdom, knowledge, ideas, properties and reputations. All this money is found in the global majority countries and their people.
