Dina is an interdisciplinary social scientist, communicator, strategist, participatory facilitator, and researcher with nearly 15 years of experience working on the intersections of climate adaptation, participatory governance, and international development and climate policy and politics. Dina is currently an independent consultant and advisor. She was previously a Senior Research Fellow with ODI Global. Prior to that, she was Programme Director at the Climate Emergency Collaboration Group (CECG), a philanthropic pooled fund established to accelerate multilateral climate action and support advocacy and movement building around the climate agenda. She led CECG’s work on climate impacts, as well as equity and inclusion to support civil society and Global South participation in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Dina has held positions in and consulted for a range of research, advocacy, media, and international organizations, including the International Finance Corporation, UNWomen, the Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centers, Reuters, 350.org, and the Arab League. She holds a PhD from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University.
